Stretching from the C\u00f4te Chalonnaise to the south of M\u00e2con city, the M\u00e2connais vineyards extend for 40km forming a set of hillsides bordered by the Sa\u00f4ne and Grosne rivers. In the heart of the M\u00e2con appellation on clay-limestone soils, the Jambon family has been making wine in Pierreclos since 1750, and their 12ha estate looks down over the valley and towards the emblematic Roche de Solutr\u00e9.
\nPierre Antoine Jambon ran the domaine until he was joined a couple of years ago by his childhood friend Michel Prudhon. Committed to growing healthy vines, they practice environmentally friendly viticulture, yields are deliberately kept low for the region and the grass is encouraged to grow between the rows of vines.
