Christophe knows each parcel of his vineyard inside out, feeling closer to Burgundy in spirit than Bordeaux. Only the best lieux-dits are retained, he doesn’t believe in second wines, if a parcel isn’t good enough then he sells it on.
He returned to his family estate in Bordeaux in the mid-1990s, where he works tirelessly in the vineyard and the winery to create some of the best value for money wines around at all levels. His wines offer a clear, bright black cherry colour, a kernel of rich fruit with great depth, and superb texture with good freshness and marked mineral flavours. Very, very long on the finish. For drinking now to 2030+.

Château Tour des Gendres La Gloire de Mon Père https://blenheimvintners.com/product/chateau-tour-des-gendres-la-gloire-de-mon-pere/ Tue, 18 Mar 2025 04:47:37 +0000 https://blenheimvintners.com/product/chateau-tour-des-gendres-la-gloire-de-mon-pere/ From Bergerac’s overlooked terroir comes this Bordeaux-style blend that punches way above its weight.
“”La Gloire de Mon Père”” (literally “”My Father’s Pride””) shows why this organic estate gets insiders excited, think plush blackberries, a dusting of cocoa powder, and just enough herbal grip to keep it honest. The de Conti family crafts this as their flagship, blending tradition with a modern drink-me-now approach. Proof that great value still exists in southwest France.
