Crafted by Éric Bouletin in Vacqueyras, this organic estate has been family-run since 1580, producing wines from terraced vineyards on clay-limestone soils. The 2020 Grande Terre blends 50% Grenache, 35% Mourvèdre, and 15% Syrah from younger vines, destemmed and vinified separately before cuve ageing. Expect a full-bodied red with dark plum hues, layered black cherry, violets, pine, and smoky minerality, balanced by vibrant freshness despite the warm vintage. Certified organic, hand-harvested, and unfiltered, it reflects the Bouletin family’s commitment to terroir-driven elegance in the Southern Rhône.

Founded in 1978, Shafer Vineyards is situated in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, east of the Silverado Trail and just north of the town of Napa. Although their main focus has always been luxuriant, richly textured Cabernet Sauvignons from their Stags Leap vineyards, they own and farm vineyards also in Napa’s southernmost Carneros District.
